Aldon Aligns With Microsoft MAP For Multi-Platform Interoperability

Leading ALM Provider Ensures Software Change Management for All Environments

Emeryville, CA—January-16-2007 —Aldon, the leading provider of process-driven application lifecycle management (ALM) solutions, today announced it has joined the Midrange Alliance Program (MAP), a strategic initiative by Microsoft focused on bridging the gap between IBM midrange solutions (i.e., AS/400, iSeries, System i) and the Microsoft Windows and .NET platforms. The announcement demonstrates Aldon’s commitment to bringing IBM midrange developers the solutions they need to create Web applications or Web services, to more easily merge applications on different systems such as .NET, UNIX, Mainframe and System i, and to extend and modernize the IBM midrange applications.

IT organizations are increasingly moving to the multi-platform model and many System i ISVs and customers are looking for an application modernization strategy that extends their current investments and offers protection in the future.  In direct response to market need, the Midrange Alliance Program by Microsoft brings together leading technology, service and application partners each with years of experience in both the System i environment and Windows and the .NET framework.

"We are pleased to welcome Aldon to the Alliance," said Scott Rosenbloom, Midrange Alliance Program Manager at Microsoft Corp. "As more and more organizations implement mixed platform solutions, Aldon will help to extend and integrate their midrange investments to Windows using the .NET Framework.”

The Aldon ALM solution provides IT business process automation, requirements management, software configuration management, multiple version management and software deployment to companies worldwide. Built to address complex multi-platform environments as well as the needs of geographically distributed IT organizations, the Aldon Suite gives companies a defined, repeatable, measurable and traceable process for every stage of their application development.  The integrated suite is comprised of Aldon Lifecycle Manager, Aldon Deployment Manager and Aldon Community Manager.

“Joining the MAP solidifies Aldon’s strategy to help our customers get more from their existing investments while providing increased interoperability between various platforms and technologies,” said Matt Scholl, chief operating officer, Aldon. “We look forward to working with Microsoft on driving many successful platform integration projects for our mutual and exclusive customers around the globe.”   .
